The Way Forward Disability Consulting is a Brisbane based NDIS provider, servicing participants across Brisbane, The Redlands and parts of Moreton Bay.
The Way Forward offers Support Coordination, Specialist Support Coordination and Social Work services to children (over 7) and adults. Support is available to people who have Support Coordination or Specialist Support Coordination approved in their NDIS plan, as well as people who have funding for Improved Daily Living if you are looking for Social Work services.
The Way Forward specialises in supporting NDIS participants who have complex medical conditions, participants who require assistance with hospital discharge and housing supports (SIL and/or SDA) and participants who reside in residential aged care (YPIRAC).
The Way Forward acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
The Way Forward recognises the important role that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people play within the disability community.
The Way Forward Disability Consulting endeavours to make our services open and suitable for LGBTIQ+ people, in particular for LGBTIQ+ people living with a disability, their families, carers and supporters. We wish to acknowledge that we respect everyone’s right to freely identify and affirm their sexual or romantic orientation and gender identity, including terms and pronouns of their choosing. We support the rights of people to be free from discrimination and mistreatment on the basis of their sex characteristics.
The Way Forward Disability Consulting was founded by Amy Gammon, a Social Worker who has extensive experience in the disability sector.
Amy has worked for both the state and federal governments in disability programs, as well as large not-for-profit organisations. Amy has a strong track record of person-centred coordination and will do her absolute best to turn the ‘no’ into ‘yes’ (with a bit of creativity!).
Amy saw the need for a service that is not affiliated with providers of other supports. Amy has a broad network, is familiar with services across the sector, and is committed to helping you get the best out of your NDIS plan.
Our vision is a world where people with disability are equal citizens, and can enjoy the most fulfilling, independent lives possible and achieve the goals that are important to them.
